Wendy A. Simpson
I was born in Wilmington, Delaware and began
writing at the age of five, when a family friend gave me a beat up old
typewriter after finding out I liked to read and was gathering every bit of
scrap paper in the house to make little "comic books." I penned my first
novel at the age of twelve, a young adult mystery but grew to love fantasy
and made it the genre of my choice. Echoes is my first published novel.

Echoes of a Distant Storm, a young adult sword
and sorcery adventure. Over a century ago an evil being known only as
Entity thought to enslave the world and its inhabitants. A great war raged
and Five Warriors, one each from the five races of the land, banded together
and used their soul magic to defeat the Entity and drive its essence into a
mountain range known as Spirit's Lament. However, the binding was
incomplete.
Cael Blackshear and Damiana D'Feyhar are descendants of The Five. Such is
their destiny to someday take their parents' place to ensure the safety of
the realm. But as the years pass they realize that there is something
sinister to the ancient ritual of the binding. When Cael is unjustly accused
of murder they must flee their town and follow the Five to the forbidding
Spirit's Lament, braving one obstacle after another as an ancient evil tries
to destroy them.
