October's Featured Writer --> Robin Hobb
Robin Hobb was born in California in 1952, and majored in Communications at Denver University, Colorado, and she now lives outside Seattle. Robin Hobb has also been writing books under the pen name Megan Lindholm, her real name though is Margaret Alice Lindholm Ogden. In the Liveship Traders her knowledge of the sea and of ships is just amazing. She credits this to being married to her sailor husband.
Robin Hobb began her writing career as Megan Lindolm which is her maiden name, but changed to Robin Hobb when she started the Farseer trilogy. She still writes as Megan Lindholm too. She says that Megan also writes fantasy, "but with a little grittier edge." Hobb's voice is, she feels, "stronger and more prone to living large. Megan is sometimes more playful. Sometimes sillier. Robin Hobb writes very epic fantasies and that's where I'm comfortable with that."

Robin Hobb is a sensational fantasy writer, with her amazing plots; memorable characters, and a million twists and turns in each story! Once you pick up a Hobb book it's nearly impossible to put it down! :) Her works include The Farseer Trilogy , The Tawny Man Trilogy, and my personal favorite The Liveship Traders Trilogy.
